{"id":486,"date":"2009-10-22T15:22:16","date_gmt":"2009-10-22T21:22:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.80acresonline.org\/blog\/?p=486"},"modified":"2009-10-22T15:22:16","modified_gmt":"2009-10-22T21:22:16","slug":"enough-for-now","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.80acresonline.org\/blog\/?p=486","title":{"rendered":"Enough for Now"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last night we got another three inches of rain.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-487\" title=\"overnight-rain013\" src=\"http:\/\/www.80acresonline.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/overnight-rain013.jpg\" alt=\"overnight-rain013\" width=\"310\" height=\"207\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.80acresonline.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/overnight-rain013.jpg 310w, http:\/\/www.80acresonline.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/overnight-rain013-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 310px) 100vw, 310px\" \/><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>This morning the septic tank had filled up.\u00a0\u00a0 Flushing the toilets is out of the question.\u00a0 So is dishwashing.\u00a0\u00a0 So we&#8217;re snacking.\u00a0\u00a0 Lightly.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 We do have access to a house that&#8217;s on the city sewer system, but&#8230;I&#8217;d rather have a working toilet inside the house, modern wimp that I am.<\/p>\n<p>My measure for &#8220;enough rain for now&#8221; has been reached.\u00a0 There&#8217;s running water in the front yard, back yard, horse lots&#8211;the French drains Richard put in have kept the barn interior dry, but everything else is glittering in the afternoon sun with running water.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The old well down the horse lot has three inches of &#8220;head&#8221;
